Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is an electronic system that allows a recipient to authorize the transfer of their government benefits from a federal account to a retailer account to pay for products received.
EBT is used in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam since June 2004.
EBT cards are accepted at all Sprouts locations for eligible purchases. Note that EBT is only accepted in- store at Sprouts, not online or for catering orders.
How to Use EBT at Sprouts?
@ejayem95 If you got EBT go to Sprouts! Healthy options and good food and this was all SNAP/EBT eligibile 🔥 #viral #fyp #fypシ #foryoupage #goodeats #foodtiktok #foodtok #foodie #EBT #ebtcard #snap #sproutsfarmersmarket #sprouts
EBT works in the same way as a regular debit card; simply swipe it through the card reader and enter your pin to pay for your items.
Tip: Swipe your EBT card first if you don’t have enough funds on your EBT card to pay your full transaction for items which are eligible through ebt. After that, you may finish your purchase with a different method of payment, such as cash, debit, or credit because you cannot purchase any other item with ebt which is not approved by government.

Does Trader Joe’s take snap?
The majority of our grocery pickup locations accept SNAP EBT payments. Walmart, Target, Costco, and Trader Joe’s all now accept Food Stamps. In order to avoid confusion, enrollees should check with their local stores before attempting to use EBT to buy groceries online in their areas.
